In 1935, Austin Driving School was founded by the late Dr. Raymond A. Evans in Temple, Texas. The company has been providing driver safety education to Texans for 80 years and is now owned and operated by his son, Dr. John E. Evans III who is a retired professor of psychology from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, TX and his daughter-in-law Kathleen Gail Evans who is a psychotherapist with experience working with children, adolescents and adults at the Jones Center for Counseling & Therapy in Temple, TX Austin Driving School provides intensive defensive driving courses that are approved by the Texas Department of Licensing & Regulations (TDLR) as an alternative to points taken on your driver license record when you get cited
